Handmade Pottery

I am the maker Barbara J Wilson. I work in my private studio in Montana, on a small farm. I work on the Potter's wheel and also hand-build clay projects. I enjoy creating objects from clay. I find inspiration in nature. I love to spend time in the garden and with the animals we raise. I like to notice the changes of color in the sky throughout the day. I like to spend quiet time reflecting and creating in clay. I am able to draw, carve and paint into the clay. Creating everyday objects and adding texture, colors and drawings make these pieces a joy to use. I feel we spend a lot of time using objects in the kitchen. It is important to enjoy these  dishes, bowls, tumblers, cups, and mugs. I personalize each item and make unique ceramics.
